Rizwaan - Riz, is a development consultant with 15 years of experience strengthening nonprofits and ESOs to grow sustainably and increase impact. For the past seven years, Riz has called East Africa home, and has worked in countries across the continent. Riz started his career as a fundraising and communications consultant for social impact organizations in India. He then went on to co-found an organization that created incubation hubs for youth entrepreneurs across Afghanistan. Building on these experiences, Riz established a consulting practice aimed at strengthening strategy, sustainability and service offerings for civil society and ESOs – and the ecosystems they serve. Riz has a growing interest in localization – and shifting the power in international development and aid. When he’s not working on strategy, Riz cooks, drums, and writes bad haiku.

Judith is a program and learning design consultant and worked as youth-centric trainer in Europe, before moving to East Africa in 2015 to pursue her passion for education and training. She went on to build an in-house academy for a solar company (in Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania), where she developed employability, mentoring and leadership programs. In her current role, Judith supports entrepreneurship enablers and NGOs to develop or improve their program offering – promoting experiential, scalable and virtual approaches. Her work includes a variety of tools and methods drawing on qualitative research, workshop facilitation, design thinking, and learning design theory. Judith has a strong interest in agriculture, climate action and sustainability. When she’s not at work, she writes poetry, does garden work and enjoys good food.

Ani has extensive experience in fundraising, sustainability, communications, and impactful storytelling – and has worked closely with non-profits and social enterprises across East and West Africa for over a decade. She is passionate about supporting organizations that impact the lives of those living on <$2 per day, and those supporting entrepreneurs and under/unemployed youth. As a fundraising and development consultant, Ani specializes in supporting ESOs to become more sustainable and impactful – primarily through strategy development, training, and 1:1 consulting. Ani has a strong interest in gender, and supports organizations to become more inclusive. Outside of work, she loves to knit, bake and talk to her houseplants.
